Savannah and Charleston Railroad records, 1866-1871.

Volume (34/431, 1866-1871) entitled "Proceedings of the 2nd Lien 1st Mortgage Bondholders of the Charleston and Savannah Railroad Company against the President and Directors of the Company" includes clippings about the 1869 annual meeting of stockholders, a copy of "An Act to Incorporate the Savannah and Charleston R.R. Co., ratified 21st December 1866" and lists of bondholders. J. Reid Boylston was chairman of the proceedings. Volume (34/430, 1867-1868) entitled "Proceedings of the Board of Directors of the Savannah and Charleston Railroad Company" contains minutes, financial statements, proceedings of the first annual meeting, an index to minutes, and other items. Attached to the volume is a printed pamphlet (1868) "Proceedings at the first annual meeting of stockholders of the Savannah and Charleston R.R. Co." Both written and printed proceedings include the names of locomotives and the number and condition of other machinery.
